At age 15 my budget was close to nothing, but settling with the crowd in regards to my personal vehicle, was never part of my agenda, therefore I started with what I had and in a matter of months, various individuals started to contact me in regards to vehicle modifications in the off-road industry. First Things First
Turning a hobby into a lifestyle
Corné Snyman (founder of BOC) started working on 4wd vehicles from his parents home in Durbanville, Cape Town whilst still in high school.
Obtaining funds for his personal project (a Suzuki SJ410), he started doing private jobs ranging from spray painting to off-road bumpers.
The demand grew and he was then joined by Morné Greeff who handled the spraypainting projects.
The demand grew even more, and the decision was made to turn 'n hobby into a lifestyle.
The next big step
Make or Break
BOC was then established as "Blue Ocean Customs" specialising in off-road accessories and panel beating with the panel beating section being the main income.
Through long hours, late nights and great successes they found a demand in the 4wd industry in South-Africa for "off the shelf" replacement products and that's where their real passion started to develop.
With the demand growing for their services they moved to a bigger premises in Durbanville.

BOC Off-road Industries pty(LTD) was then established in 2021 specialising solely in off-road product manufacturing and off-road fitments.
By selecting a team of experienced individuals from designers to welders they started to climb the ladder of success with a touch of class from their extensive experience in the industry.

Looking to the future our mission is to provide market leading off-road products across the globe through an online shop and various franchises.
Following production line systems our goal is to produce a wide range of products for each off-road vehicle staying up to date with manufacturer developments.
Our passion for off-roading and the outdoors are impossible to miss, therefore our products are built and tested by off-roaders for off-roaders.
